As a counselor I face these kind questions everyday,
Am I right?
Was he/she right?
Am I wrong?
Is it okay to feel angry?
Oh I have hurt that person, I am feeling guilty, what should I do?
And my only response to everything is validate all your feelings and there is no right and wrong feeling in the world, the only thing which can be harmful to you and others is the intention to hurt yourself and someone else. Don’t ever get into self doubt. Love yourself for everything you are, even for the simple reason that at least you could thought that you might have hurt somebody, that’s how you start being sensitive.
And before that more than any mistake you make in your life what matter is your INTENTIONS and that is what can be right and wrong.
“Out beyond the ideas of right doing and wrong doing there is a field I will meet you there” Rumi
Treat yourself well and treat others well, because you deserve to feel better, because you deserve to be treated well and as well people around you.
Forgive yourself and forgive others, because making mistakes is OK and no mistake is more important than your well BEING and forgive others because there is no point keeping any negative emotion to yourself about others.
Stay positive because that’s how you build positivity around you.
But make sure to affirm yourself to correct your mistakes, rather than dwelling on past, work on what you need to work on.
Work on yourself because that’s how you grow up. Don’t waste your time being sad or being guilty about what ever you have done unintentionally and focus more on how to act according to your intentions. Once you focus on your intention you will find yourself looking for alternatives for your negative behaviours.
For a better positive life intent to be a better person, intent to be sensitive, intent to forgive people, intent to respond over reacting, intent love over hatred, intent friendship over differences, intent discussions over arguments.
I see, you’re v well educated. I hope you’re doing fine! You seem sad!
